Such a totally massive rarity among early UK Pagan magazines!
The Waxing Moon 4 (New Series), Lughnasadh 1971, 20 pages, card covers, includes articles by Tony Kelly, Fred Lamond (one of Gardner's initiates, writing on Wiccan conflict), Dewi Browne, plus more, including reviews by Kelly, and a letters page featuring Joe Wilson, Tony Kelly and Fred Lamond! Astonishing stuff. One of the earliest pagan mags in the UK, and really very rare, this was the 'in house' magazine of 'The Pagan Movement', which preceded the Pagan Federation in Britain.
This is a copy came from the Museum of Witchcraft in Boscastle, Cornwall, after suffering a catastrophic flood a few years ago. Duplicate issues of some of the recovered materials were later sold to assist with funds.
Condition: Used. Good condition despite the flood. Some residual dirt and very light water damage. |
