Tough choice

Personally, I don't think it's insane to need help with a choice like that.

If the length of your nails is really bothering you, go ahead and file them down with an emery board, as stated on this site. *Never* cut them with nail clippers because they just weaken the outer edges of the nail and then they'll just grow back weak. (the vertical part of clippers are flat, but the nails are arched, so it doesn't work out)

I really think that it'd be a good idea to file them back if it'll keep polish off of them. Wouldn't it be better to have short, comfortable nails for a little while than to constantly keep up with long, uncomfortable nails?

Then again...I'm not a goth, so maybe my ungothiness is affecting my opinion. ::shrug::

I guess what I mean to say is: in the end, just do what you think is best. ^_^
