Pointed nails break easier.. especially the tips. I still point them but I am always reminding myself to be careful or I might snap a point.

I get stares sometimes but coworkers are so used to it they rarely think about it. I usually get a gasp when reaching for change at the grocery store - they definitely are not expecting it. Funny thing is when people don't notice at first since I am not waving my hands around.. then a few hours later (or even a few days for some) they're like "oh my.. your nails!". I find most people don't know what to say so don't say anything for the most part.
