Gothic Nail Care Forum Nail shape Posted By: mistressjess I used to file my nails pointed and they would break very very quickly and I could never grow them long. About 4 months ago I started filing them square and RIGHT AWAY I could see a difference in their strength!!! I have now started to use Sally Hansen Hard As Nails as a base coat (thanks to advice I read on this site), and now my nails, which were always soft, are now ROCKS. I actually have used them as tools ('cause I'm inherently bad), and they are still fine. This really works and has been a godsend. And it looks better on my hands anyway!
