In Response To: Aftercare advise for artificial nails at home (Vanessa)

Acrylic nails are very easy to care for, and what I tell my clients is to wear rubber gloves when doing dishes or housework with water or chemicals, not to use the nails as tools (don't pry soda cans open with them, don't use them to scrape or loosen things, etc.), and to be careful when doing things like opening and closing car doors, using matches or lighters, or opening boxes. It's important to tell clients about these things if s/he has never had long nails before and isn't used to them, as it can take time to get used to doing things like what I've mentioned above differently. Fill-in times are different for each person and depend on their natural nail growth, but usually appointments are scheduled every 3 to 6 weeks. I also tell clients to come in if they have any problems. Sorry this isn't a lot of information, but there really is little care involved with acrylic nails. I hope this is useful for you, though! :~D
