I don't know why but I I really like black nail polish too, the way it looks dark and shiny on my nails. It can be hard wearing it in public but once you've done it the first time it get easy. Have a looka at my Flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/yipeeyahoo/ I don't care much for toenails but I like to wear it on my my fingernails with long nails, but not too long. However I can't really grow my nails so buy glue on black nails in bulk and give them a coat of clear polish (push back the cuticles first!). I was out yesterday and had on a set of black fake nails. It was so cold so I had on black hand warmers. Spent the day just shopping and having lunch at Borders and went to buy some new nail polish, some new shades of blue and purple. It's fun to see peoples' reactions, I asked a girl working there which good shades they had and we talked a little about which colours were nice. She was obviosuly a bit shocked and was looking at my nails... a lot. Sometimes I sit at coffee shops and places inspecting my nails (yeah I'm vain!) and tapping them. People notice, it's not really about drawing attention to mself I jsut want to wear black nail polish but when people do get drawn to the nails it can be fun to take them for a spin. The point is, of you really want to then just go for it. Good luck!
