Bad nails

At one time I had long nails.I got yellow line at the top of each nail, they all became week and broke off. Used Stop Yellow, it spilt all my nails down to the cutcles, long ways.Now they will not grow passed the ends of my figners, they keep braking at this point. Any advice you can give I will be greatful for.
