I too am a very chronic nailbiter. I am 54 years old!!!! I enquired about acrylic nails BUT they told me that my nails were too short to pput them on to and if I wanted to go that way i would have to grow my nails some first. Easier said than done!!!!!

Five weeks ago i tried Hypnosis and I have had 2 sessions. My nails have not shown much growth but my fingertips are less swollen and less red
. I have had a couple of "munches" during this time but all in all it is the best thing that I have tried so far in my lifetime.

It was not invasive, she did not ask me about my childhood etc etc just did the hypnosis suggesting things like my hand would need to be upside down if i put it in my nouth and suggesting that I have more confidence in myself. I was given a tapee to listen to at home for the next 21 days. I still need to do it because I still have the urge badly at times. Definately worth a try
