Not sure of the cause for curving nails, but you can train them to "straighten up".

My index and tall man nail on both hands curved for many years. Not they don't. You have to file them down to a reasonable length. Then soak them in hot water, and gently press the curve out. Then you can put acrylic on just the white, dead part of the nail or many coats of polish to straighten them.

If you shorten, soak and press into shape they will "remember" how you want them. I think when energy flows into the body at higher rates especially at solar peaks of the year like Solstice, they curve more.
