When choosing colors to counteract flaws in skin tone, you should always try to use "oppisites". This will cancel out the unwanted tone. Midnight works for you because it contains alot of purple/blue pigment (purple & blue are the opposites of yellow/orange) So you should wear deep burgandy to plum tone reds. Some good choices are OPI's "Buffalo billings berry", Zoya's"Morticia","Crystall"or "Courtney", Amoresse's "Dark Affairs", Essie's "Port", "Bordeaux", "Macks" or "Wicked".
Also, for jewelry choices, I would opt for silver, white gold or platinum instead of yellow gold. This will help tone down the yellow also!
