Acrylics are probably better than than glue on tips if you're looking to have pointed nails since they can come in longer sizes so can be filed down to a more gradual point. My mum runs a nail salon and I get mine done frequently. I usually wear glue ons but the survival tips are similar. You prabably already know but as your nails will be longer it'll be harder to pick up things and you'll find your nails scraping against table surfaces and your keys/credit cards/etc hard to pick up. When sleeping be sure to use your fingers pressed against your palms to pull the covers as otherwise your nails will feel pulled and may come loose.
