Gothic Nail Care Forum gothic manicure dare Posted By: Dave Hi I'm a bit new to the whole idea of guys wearing nail varnish. Last Summer my girlfriend dared me to get a gothic manicure. She took me to a nail place where she went wild and asked for long acrylic nails polished black and that wasn't the end. I had to wear them for a whole week! That meant going out and everyone noticing a guy like me with black fingernails! It was a good thing that I was off work and we were on holiday somewhere else. Apart from all the looks and stares it was really awkward to do anything with these claws eg: open doors, hold pens. Thing is I became used to it and actually enjoy it now. My girlfriend was actually a bit freaked out that I continued wearing black nails and that I enjoyed it but now she's really happy for me and doesn't mind at all. Her parents, who I've met already, got a look at them and were a bit shocked but they're open minded people and are used to it since their daughter does it too. Usually I do my nails myself but I often go to a nearby nail place, who were a bit freaked out but complimented how a guy like me had the nerve to get something like this done. These black fingernails are so cool!
