question on Silk & Gel Overlay Nails....

3 yrs. ago I had artificial acrylic nails for 1-1/2 yrs. I had to have them removed because I became allergic to acrylic. I tried Fiberglass, and was allergic to that also. A friend of mine suggested silk artificial nails - she said they are natural and the chances are slim that I'll be allergic. Another friend suggested the gel overlay method - she said that may be better also. What's your opinion/advice on silk & gel overlay? Which one is the least allergic reaction-prone on gals? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
